The movie, Happiness
is a Four Letter Word, has been edited and is getting ready to go to the
cinemas as a trailer during the month of December in order to raise awareness
and create hype. The confirmed date for the opening at cinemas is February 19, 2016.
Producers are Helena Spring, Bongiwe Selane and Durban-based
Junaid Ahmed and directed by Thabang Moleya in association with The National
Film and Video Foundation, Mzansi Magic
and The Department of Trade & Industry. Happiness
is a Four Letter Word stars Mmabatho Montsho, Khanyi Mbau, Renate Stuurman,
Tongayi Chirisa, Chris Attoh and Richard Lukunku.
Based on Duduzile Cynthia Jele’s novel Happiness is a Four Letter Word features screenplay by Busisiwe
Ntintili and Duduzile Cynthia Jele. The
cinematographer is Lance Gewer, and the film is edited by Nicholas Costaras and
Melanie Jankes Golden with co-producer Gillian Pearson.
