“Nothing makes us prouder than to host a young muso that has
truly made a difference in the music scene, except hosting two young and very
inspiring musos!” says Roger O’Neill of the Maritzburg Musicians Club, talking
about next week’s event at La Casa.
“Originally Pietermaritzburg-based star-child Ruby Gill and
Durban-based musical trailblazer Matt Vend have been paving the way each in
their own right, for young up-and-coming musos, encouraging hopeful stars to be
bold! Ruby Gill will be performing on another one of her national tours as she
has been based in Jozi where she has been able to truly take her wide variety
of musical skills to a professional level,” O‘Neill continues.
“Matt Vend joins us after an epic tour through the most
interesting faces of South Africa, with his third solo album in which you can
hear his narration through the beautiful souls he has encountered along the way
and his simple motto "Be kind!"
Join Maritzburg Musician's Club on November 17 at 19h00 to
celebrate and support these two inspiring acts. Entry R40! There is an open
mike from 19h00.
