Durban Catholic Players Guild presents Carols by Candlelight at Greyville Racecourse on December 20 at
19h00.
The newest member of the Durban Catholic Players’ Guild, six
week-old Liam Saunders, will play the part of the baby Jesus in this year’s
performance of the Nativity story. His mother and father, Chantal and Cuan,
will play Mary and Joseph, while older sister Shaylee is an Angel.
Families are invited to bring a picnic basket and enjoy
themselves on the grassy area in front of the stands before the show. Those
attending are requested to bring a toy (new or used) for the under-privileged.
Toys will be brought to the manger in procession led by Bishop Barry Wood at
the end of the performance.
Carols by Candlelight
takes place at 19h00 at Greyville Racecourse on December 20. Gates open at 18h00.
There is no entrance fee and the Carols will be led by a local choir. Candles
and words of favourite Christmas Carols will be provided so that everyone can
join in the singing.
Secure parking is available in the grounds. Seating is
sheltered so the production will proceed under all weather conditions. For more
