Emma Thompson reprises her role as the enigmatic Nanny McPhee in this fantasy sequel set during the Second World War. With her soldier husband away, young mother Isabel (Maggie Gyllenhaal) is struggling to cope with the demands of keeping a farm running while also having to handle three boisterous children. Help is soon at hand, though, when an unusual visitor suddenly appears on her doorstep with some childcare advice... Ralph Fiennes & Maggie Smith also appear in the film.
