This year's exhibition at the KZNSA Gallery calendar has
officially kicked off with the opening of the 2016 KZNSA Annual Members'
Exhibition, Invisible, with the winners
being as follows:
First prize: The Brown Family Collective - The Forgotten
Treasures
Second prize: Mondli Mbhele – Omama
Third prize: Mexiy van der Merwe - Visibly Invisible
KZNSA Merit Award: Andile Maphumulo
The invited judges were Sifiso Ka Mkame, Zamani Makhanya and
Matthew Ovendale, and the winners were awarded the Joan Emanuel floating trophy
and generous cash prizes donated by the Emanuel family.
Invisible runs until
February 14 in the KZNSA’s Main, Mezzanine and Park Galleries.
