The next Friends of Music recital will take place on January
26 and will feature
Sarita Uranovsky (SA/USA ) on violin and Andrew Campbell (USA)
on piano.
A talented chamber,orchestral musician and teacher across
the globe, Uranovsky is a recipient of many awards. Andrew Campbell is a most
versatile pianist in USA and around the world.
Their programme will feature Debussy’s Sonata B flat minor for
violin and piano; Babajanyan’s Sonata for violin and piano; Saygun’s Suite for
violin and piano Opus .33, and Ravel Tzigane.
The Prelude Player for the evening will be Leia Poona
performing Dark Eyes by A Ferrraris
on violin.
The recital will take place on January 26 at 19h30 at the Durban
Jewish Centre, 44 KE Msinga Road (Old Fort Road), Durban. Tickets R100 (R80 FOM
Members/R20 Students and Orchestra members) booked through Computicket or at the door.
