A feast of authentic Durban-style comedy has been cooked up
and is set to be served on comedy fans at the first Mixed Masala Comedy festival at Sibaya’s iZulu Theatre over the
weekend of January 22 and 23.
Infused with outrageous, locally-flavoured humour, the two-hour
show features some of Durban’s best white, black, Indian, Muslim and coloured
comedians on one stage to deliver a truly multicultural comedy show which has
never been seen before. Amongst the comedians on the bill are Neville Pillay,
Masood Boomgaard, Kuda, Mo Vawda, Liam E and Rory Petzer. From their own unique
perspectives, they will regale audiences with hilarious stories of life in
Durban.
Mixed Masala Comedy
takes place on January 22 and 23 at 20h00. Tickets R120 pp available at Computicket
and the Sibaya Box office. The show carries an age restriction of 16 years.
