The UKZN Centre for Jazz and Popular Music will present the
first gig of 2016 with An Evening Of Latin
Jazz on February 10.
This show will feature the Jazz piano faculty and students of
UKZN presenting works by Chick Corea, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Gonzalo Rubalcaba,
Bheki Mseleku and some originals by the participants. The participants for the
evening include Neil Gonsalves, Lungelo Ngcobo, David Warren Langley, Andile
Mnikathi, Siyabonga “Bmelodies” Mazibuko, Luyavuma Mabuza, and Zibusiso
Makhathini.
This concert will be the first in a series of instrumental
showcases planned over the course of the year. Expect to hear tunes like Besame Mucho, Chelsea shuffle, Tico Tico, Angola
and Aguas de Marco.

Jazz takes place on February 10 at 18h00 at The Centre for Jazz and Popular
music (CJPM), Level 2, Shepstone Building at UKZN Howard College Campus. (Doors
