“Bringing
dysfunctional back” is the focus of It’s Not Your Fault! directed by Ndili Stamper, written by James Jooste and presented by new
Durban production company, Blank Canvas.
When Dana and Steve tell their children that they are
getting a divorce, they don't take it well. Alice - who is 17 and rather
dramatic - thinks it is the end of times while Nick, her 18-year-old brother,
is calmer but still upset by the whole ordeal.
With the help of Alice's friend Tiffany - who is deeply obsessed
with Nick - and their Grandmother Veronica - Steve's mom, who hates Dana -they
attempt to get their parents back together. This is a family comedy – well, actually
a comedy about a family!
The cast includes Casey Milledge, Michaela Hardstone, Elzette Smith, Conan Richard Course,
Rio Notra; Michaela Hardstone and Jill Sysum.
It's Not Your Fault!
runs at Seabrooke’s Theatre at DHS from March 10 to 20 (no performance on March
11). Evening shows at 19h00 and Sunday shows at 15h00.
