(Marc Kay & Rowan Bartlett)

The AUC returns to the Rhumbelow Theatre these holidays with another fun-filled family show. Directed by Adam Dore, Rapunzel features Marc Kay, Tessa Tjasink and Rowan Bartlett.

This classic fairytale comes to life in spectacular style, with high energy performances from the entire cast, headlined by award-winning star of stage and screen, Rowan Bartlett. Follow the Prince on his topsy-turvy journey to find true love and rescue Rapunzel from the evil clutches of the Wicked Witch. Rapunzel is filled with love, laughter and audience interaction... you're guaranteed to enjoy the show whether you are 8, or 108!

After the show, the AUC will hold a short workshop (included in the ticket price).

The workshop portion of Rapunzel will focus on basic performance skills. Participants will learn a little about how actors prepare, with a vocal and physical component. It will all culminate in everyone learning some of the choreography from the show and having a blast dancing with the cast of Rapunzel.

Rapunzel runs from March 21 to April 2. All performances take place at 10h00 except those on March 24 and 31 which take place at 14h00. Snacks and juices will be on sale. Tickets R70 are limited so early booking is advised through Computicket or phone Ailsa on 083 250 2690, email or visit
