PLATFORM JAZZ IN PMB



The highly popular jazz ensemble Platform Jazz wil give two performances in association with Rhumbelow Theatre in Pietermaritzburg on May 2 (public holiday).

Titled Celebration Time, the programme will include jazz party favourites from the gangster and Great Gatsby parties, evergreen tunes from the Swing era, conga line Latin favourites and songs that just celebrate life.

Listen out for great hits such as Mac the Knife, Feeling Good, Rum and Coca Cola, Tequila!, Here’s To Life, Let’s Fall In Love, C’est Si Bon, What a Wonderful World and Happy to name a few. Join Jeff Judge on the sax, Dunc the Hunc on the trombone, Kirsten The Kitten on the clarinet, Melvin Peters on the keys, Andreas on the bass, Bashful Bruce on the drums, Songbird Shelley McLean and Cathy Hotlips Peacock on the trumpet.

Celebration Time has performances on May 2 at 14h00 and 18h30. The venue opens 90 minutes before show for picnic dinner.

Tickets R140 (R120 pensioners & block bookings for 8 or more). Bring food picnic baskets a bar is available (no alcohol may be brought on to the premises). Limited secure parking available.
