After completing her Matric, she enrolled for her studies in Performing Arts at the Mbongeni Ngema Academy. She further pursued her music studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal - Howard College School of Arts where she specialised in Jazz and Popular Music.

In Hammarsdale, Langa will perform some of her compositions and favourite jazz standards, but she will also perform some pop songs by her favorite vocalists from way way back. Langa’s band for this performance will be Ndumiso Ndlovu on keys, Senzo Mdamba on bass guitar and Stanley Matlou on drums and of course Thobeka Langa on vocals.
