Durban’s award winning Flatfoot Dance Company travels to the
National Arts Festival in Grahamstown to perform days like these.
Invited to the prestigious main festival platform, days like these offers a tender dance
journey into the sacred of everyday memories. Using verbatim theatre and
documentary style theatre-making methods, choreographer Lliane Loots and
filmmaker Karen Logan have created a soulful dance theatre work that uses the
life stories of the dancers as a way of us – as the audience - truly trying to
remember what makes us human.
This is a ‘total theatre’ experience that uses the power of
the moving body and the moving image to pull you into a South Africa of the 21st
Century.
