Northcliff High School in Johannesburg will bring its new
musical to Durban after its record-breaking, bumper success in Johannesburg.
Possibly the best offering yet from this ground breaking
school, The Addams Family 2016 will
be the 18th production to tour to the Playhouse in as
many years.
With book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, music and
lyrics by Andrew Lippa and based on the characters created by Charles Addams, the
musical is directed and produced by Nick Jourdan who has been responsible for
the many successful Northcliff productions that have toured to Durban.
Wednesday Addams has grown up and found love. Her new beau
and the prospective in-laws are invited to dinner to meet the disparate Addams
clan with hilarious results.
“The cast is notably made up of surprisingly young pupils
who acquit themselves with maturity and professionalism. Their suitability to
their roles is uncanny and their portrayal of this outlandish and bizarre
family makes for hilarious entertainment,” says Jourdan.
The Addams Family 2016
will run at the Playhouse Drama from June 28 to July 3 and booking is
at Computicket.
