(Mali Zulu)

The Still Sessions at Distillery031 will feature Mali Zulu & Band on July 6.

Mali Zulu is a talented musician born in a village called KwaMaphumulo, on the outskirts of Stanger in the beautiful grassy plains of Northern KwaZulu Natal. He grew up singing in school choirs from Grade One and in Grade Twelve he was selected for the Northern KwaZulu Natal Youth Choir, where he received practical coaching and travelled throughout South Africa.

When asked what Mali Zulu would bring to the Still Sessions, he said: “ They say Love makes the world go around, you will either think about your Lover or you will dance together.”

In 2014, Zulu entered Idols Season 10 and made it to the top 31. Following this he landed a record deal and started working on his own compositions. He a musician at heart and his life is driven by music.
