The Institut Français in Paris in collaboration with the
Institut Français in South Africa and Courrier international, the weekly French
newspaper, presents an exhibition on press cartoons by artists from all over
the world. The aim is to debate freedom of expression.
The ‘Dessins en
liberté’ (Cartoons for Freedom) exhibition is comprised of 12 panels of press
illustrations made by 50 artists from 45 nationalities. Each panel is devoted
to a specific theme concerning freedom of expression, such as censorship,
Internet, corruption, women’s rights, rebellions, climate, sports, racism, etc.
Entrance to the exhibition is free of charge. This event is
