Well-known business owner and interior decorator, Ria
Hackland, will open up her beautiful Umtwentweni guest house for a night of
sparkling entertainment on September 2.
The soiree will include all things fine: piano playing;
singing, delicious feast and wine - all delightfully mixed into a delectable
and outlandish brew.
The guest entertainers for the evening are actress and
singer Barbie Meyer and pianist and singer Jonathan Brauteseth. Together, they
form a formidable and fun pair. After a highly successful evening in this same
vein in Pretoria, the duo agreed to share this exclusive event on their home
turf. They will offer both haunting and playful duets including everything from
Evita to Rod Stewart.
Meyer will also include some of Herman Charles Bosman’s
beautiful poetry “to balance Jonathan’s insistence at reciting some ridiculous
limericks and Gnu outbursts between songs”, she laughs.
Patrons are encouraged to don a pair of glamorous heels,
slip on a dinner jacket and don’t miss out on this one-night only evening of
sparkling entertainment.
