The Durban Actors Studio has been very busy since it moved
into premises to168 Mahatma Gandhi Road and started developing the
organisation’s brand.
“Our youth programme, which is going into its tenth year,
continues to grow term on term, our adult classes, launched in May, have been a
huge success and our 1 Year Intensive, post matric programme, which starts
February 2017 is receiving lots of interest, and applications!,” says Gill
Brunings. “Now, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce our final
line of business, Durban Actors Studio - Business Training.
The World of Performing Arts is a world of vision, spirit,
vitality and communication. If you look at the World of Work; every day, in
every company, the curtain rises, the lights go on and the performance begins,
whilst the stage is different these two worlds have the same goals; vision,
spirit, vitality and communication. We are therefore perfectly aligned to
upskill your team in developing the tools needed to perform in the World of
Work.
“Excellent communication skills are vital to success in
life. As communication is so central to the world of work, it follows that
where communication is poor or inadequate, the quality of that work – be it a
product or service – will suffer as a result. The Open University. Acquiring
and practicing good, effective communication at work is not a luxury or an
optional extra, but essential for success.
The Durban Actors Studio offers four focused training areas:
Core Communications; Teambuilding; Bespoke Training, and Private Coaching.
“Our internationally-accomplished facilitators have a highly
successful track record with various companies including; Siemens, SMILE
Communications, Tetrapak and The Gauteng Provincial Legislature. We know the
communication areas businesses face on a day to day basis; which is to
differentiate ourselves, our service and our product; we also know the
theatrical key to cultivate performance excellence,” adds Brunings.
