FOX Life, a bold and entertaining Pan African channel will
offer an eclectic and exciting mix of US dramas, comedies, unscripted
programming along with fresh local content
The channel will launch on October 3 2016 and will be available
on DStv channel 126 to DStv Premium, Extra, Compact, Family and Access
customers
Considered one of the world’s leading destinations for
scripted and unscripted entertainment, FOX Life will be tailored for African
audiences.
As part of the new channel, an additional 954 hours of fresh
new programming will be added to the schedule over the coming months, focused
on localised storytelling, created specifically for African viewers. New hit US
shows to debut on FOX Life include Pitch
and Atlanta.
The new channel will sit alongside FOX on DStv, on channel
number 126 and will replace FOX Crime, which will no longer be available on
DStv from September 28, 2016. Select programming from this channel will be
folded into the FOX daytime schedules. This is a win for DStv customers as FOX
Crime was limited to only DStv Premium and DStv Extra, FOX Life will be
available to DStv Premium, Extra, Compact, Family and Access customers in South
Africa.
FOX Life now joins the extensive FNG portfolio in Africa,
which includes FOX, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, National
Geographic Gold, FOX Sports, FOX Sports 2 and Baby TV.
