M-Net Movies Premiere DStv Channel 104 will feature the
movie The Intern on October 23 at 20h30.
Directed by Nancy Meyers in 2015, the comedy stars Robert De
Niro, Anne Hathaway and aims to prove that it is possible to bridge the
generation gap with a little bit of understanding. The legendary Robert De
Niro, now in his 70s, charms audiences as a man who refuses to accept that age
is a barrier to anything at all.
Ben, a widower who is getting bored with his life as a
retired business executive, responds to an advert for a senior citizen
internship, gets hired, shrugs off his boss’s scepticism and proves he has an
important contribution to make to the firm. But life isn’t plain sailing at 70.
