Winter’s over! It’s time to come out of hibernation and go
support local talent!
There’s no better way to do that than to ring up Spot Light
Productions and book a seat (or a table!) to see their yearly “Big Show”. This
new production is, as the name suggests, the sequel to The Ring.
“We won’t give too much away when it comes to the story
line, as we prefer keeping the surprises for when you actually see the show,
but let’s just say that the story will skip a generation and delve into the
lives of the new generation of performers at the circus,” say the organisers.
“We’ve, once again, gathered an incredibly talented cast,
and you can expect more aerial acts, acrobatics and illusions, along with the
mandatory singing and dancing!”
To get the circus feel, sweet treats and pop-corn will be on
sale and there will be a stocked bar.
The Ring 2 runs
from October 21 to 29 at the Westville Civic Centre with evening performances
at 20h00 and matinees on October 22, 23 and 29. Tickets R100 per person (half
price for pensioners and children for the three matinées and on October 25). Bookings
