An unforgettable experience is set for local audiences
when the world-renowned Drakensberg Boys Choir returns to the stage of the
Pietermaritzburg City Hall on November 29 for the annual Festive Season
concert. Simply titled Christmas, the
concert presented by Music Revival, is co-ordinated once again by Christopher
Duigan and Brad Glasspoole.
South Africa’s singing ambassadors, the Drakensberg Boys
Choir, will lift the audience’s spirit with their singing of seasonal music
including Gabriel’s Message, Three Kings
of Orient, The Virgin Mary had a baby boy, Ave Maria and O, Holy Night. The choir of over 100
voices will be conducted by the recently appointed Artistic Director Bernard
Kruger and Charlotte Botha.
The evening will also see the audience singing
traditional carols including O Come All
Ye Faithful accompanied by the iconic City Hall organ. David Orr, well known organist and Head of
Music at Epworth, will be at the organ to lead the carols. Lighting, now an integral part of the highly
successful Music Revival City Hall concert series, is provided by Big Beat.
