(Richelieu Beaunoir)

Comedy Central Roast champion and local Comedian Richelieu Beaunoir will host the 9th instalment of Next Comedy Generation show on December 2 at the Durban Jewish Club.

The brainchild of Durban comedy legend, Carvin H Goldstone, the show introduces Durban to the next generation of comedy stars. The groundbreaking development comedy show has been unearthing comedy talent from across Durban.

Beaunoir is widely regarded as one of the best hosts in the country and will be hosting the show for the first time on December 2.

The quick-witted Newlands East native gave his fellow comics a proper roasting at the Comedy Central Roast Battle at Parker’s, Montecasino earlier this year. The poker-faced comedian smoked out fellow stand-ups Lihle Lindzy, Robby Collins, Gavin Kelly, Alyn Adams and Ebenhaezer Dibakwane with a series of scorching one-liners, epic takedowns and blazing insults.

Next Comedy Generation show takes place at 20h00 on December 2 at the Durban Jewish Club. Discounted tickets for the show can be purchased at or pre-ordered for R100 from ‪083 291 5702.
