FOOD FASHION MUSIC FESTIVAL



Combining great food, fashion and music, the annual Food Fashion Music Festival takes place in Durban on December 17.

The Food Fashion Music Festival is a fresh and innovative entertainment family festival property taking place on the beachfront. Fusing the various elements of food, fashion and great South African music into one experience, it features fashion runway shows, live performances, local food and various other unique activities.

Now in its 4th year, the festival brings together the Ethekwini Parks and Recreation in partnership with local promoter Silver Spoon, and hopes to attract over 15,000 members of the public. Open to the whole family, it’s definitely a great inclusion into Durban’s festive calendar each year.

“This year the city has decided to go huge - different venue, various SA talent and much more activity to include fun for the whole family. Having moved to a more central location in the city, we hope to attract a lot more people to enjoy the local fusion of food, fashion and music all in one place,” says Ethekwini Parks and Recreation official, Amanda Bani. ‘With famous faces like JSomething joining our local celebs Scoop Makhathini, Nomalanga Shozi, Zolani Shangase, Aewon Wolf and Sbahle Mpisane, it’s a guaranteed fun-filled entertainment destination for all.

Festival Hosts are Scoop Makhathini, Nomalanga Shozi and Zolani Shangase.

Food (Celebrity Chefs) include J’Something, Mzokoloko, Aewon Wolf, Sbahle Mpisane and P-Dogg Amazing

Fashion features Duke, Treasure Cindi, Ralfe by Siyabonga Ntini,Lorre by Errol Zondi, Aya Velase (Ayanda Mthembu), Abstract Truth, Sheilla Shelembe and BAPS by SMB, PK Jeans, Her Collection, Jerri Mokgofe and Maitele Wawe of The Social Market.

Providing the music content are Palm Tree Paradise, Amanda Black, DJ Sox, DJ Mario (Gagasi FM), DJ Lag, Sainty Baby, DJ Feel, DJ Lab (Gagasi FM), Annalyzer, Klutch Kollective, MissU and So Kool

The Food Fashion Music Festival takes place on December 17 from 09h00 until 17h00 at the Amphitheatre, Bay of Plenty Beach, Durban. Entrance is free.
