From Cape Town to
California, Nigeria to Nashville, Australia, Durban… and now Denmark. The
musical talent pouring in to play at this year’s Splashy Fen is sure to add to
the big-festival-feel that South Africa’s friendliest festival is promising its
fans.
With performance
around the world, global party-starter, producer, DJ and label owner Oliver
Koletzki will turn up the heat on an already electric line-up at the Splashy
Fen Electric Boma. As one of its headlining acts this year, Berlin-based
Koletzki will bring 26 years of experience to the rolling foothills of
Underberg for a party not to be missed.
In addition,
Koletzki’s protégé and wunderkind Nico Schwind will join the festivities as
another international headliner. Schwind is known for his deep love for and
close bond to house music; and with three captivating house albums under his
belt, he brings an energy to his set that is sure to thrill any crowd.
This year, the
ever-popular Electric Boma will host a handful of talented DJs and producers
with the likes of The Kiffness, The Bantwanas Act, Veranda Panda, Felix
Brendel, Chunda Munki, RudeBoyz SA and many more.
“We are thrilled to
be able to bring big names with musical clout to our fans at Splashy Fen. Each
year we endeavour to do bigger and better things in terms of the music and
entertainment we provide, as well as the festival experience as a whole,” says
Festival Director Stu Berry. “Having said that though, our main focus is still
very much on empowering and providing a platform for local artists, both known
and unknown. It has, and always will be, a part of Splashy Fens core values.”
Over 200 local and
international musicians will perform for fans across 5 unique stage areas
throughout the iconic four-day festival.
The Splashy Fen
2017 confirmed line-up includes Australian megastars, The Temper Trap, The
Springbok Nude Girls, Jeremy Loops, The Kiffness, The Parlotones, The Subway
Run, Jack Parow, The Kickstands, December Streets, Desmond and the Tutus, Rowan
Stuart, Don’t Poke The Bear, Nibs van der Spuy, and many more…
The bustling boma
and dance floor area is situated a fair distance away from the main camping
