#DURBS COMEDY NIGHT

(Dillan Oliphant)

#Durbs Comedy Night - on 10 and 11 March at the Garden Court Hotel, Marine Parade (DBN) - will see some of 031’s finest funny men (and lady!) hit the stage running.

You can also catch popular Joburg comedian - and the 2015 and 2016 Comedy Central Roast Champion and Comics Choice Award Winner - Dillan Oliphant who has been touring his highly successful one man show Oiliphant in the Room which also staged to packed out houses in Durban over the festive season. He returns to bring locals some of freshest deadpan one liners and hit jokes.

Durban’s Arnotte Payne is coloured man with black parents who was raised by his Indian granny in Stanger… and he has loads of stories to tell! His debut one-man show last year, 49 Shades of Black, solidified his standing as firm favourite on the comedy scene in Durban.

The rose among the thorns, Annalakshmi is making her unique imprint on the comedy scene. The comedienne describes herself as “an Indian National that has taken refuge in South Africa, from her Monster Mother-in-law”. She uses singing in a variety of Indian vernacular as well as Old and contemporary English music to tackle family, social, economic and political issues. She loves telling stories and giving her candid commentary or her Indian take on things. Her parodies are witty, funny and hit home.

Carvin Goldstone is back from an 11-city National Comedy Tour and performances of his ever popular one man show, Coloured President, on the MSC Sinfonia and will bring to stage some his latest musings.

#Durbs Comedy Night shows take place at 20h00 on March 10 and 11 at the Garden Court Hotel on the Marine Parade. Tickets R150 booked through  Quicket.co.za or via 083 291 5702.
