CHERRY’S DOTTY FUN SHOW

(Adi Paxton)

Rhumbelow Theatre in Umbilo and at Tina’s in Kloof offer youngster’s holiday entertainment with two different shows each day: Cherry’s Dotty Fun Show and Seaside Suzy

Join Adi Paxton aka Cherry the Magical Clown in her Dotty Fun Show. Cherry is seeing spots and needs the audience to help her sort the dots, spots or blotches and to un-muddle her colours. Interactive and playful with a little learning along with magic, juggling and an Abraca zebra, too:

Ditsy as she is Cherry also attempts feats such as plate spinning and poi. Find out if she can get them right and help her along, too. Was that a book, a picture or an invisible pup? Come along and find out. Perhaps you can change the show with a word, or a wave or a turn onstage …Who knows?. Volunteers can go home with a member of her popular balloon zoo. This is a show for all ages to enjoy from 3 to 103!

This will be followed by Face Painting and colouring in the pictures on Cherry’s Magic Colouring in book (you get to take it home). What better way to keep your kids entertained this holiday season? Join Cherry and her friends for a mad cap morning of Magical Fun.

Paxton is a popular children’s performer, magicienne and puppeteer who has entertained audiences of all ages throughout South Africa (and beyond) for 31 years. Adi’s shows have charmed audiences from Madiba to children in hospital beds and can include a smattering of isiZulu or Afrikaans as needed.

Shows have been rated as a “must see” at the Standard Bank National Arts Festival in Grahamstown. Paxton says,” I am inspired by the wide-eyed and wonderful reactions I get from young audiences…They are unpredictable and uninhibited, so every show is a new experience Anything is possible.”

Performances take place at 11h30 at Rhumbelow Theatre from April 3 to 6 and at Tina’s in Kloof from April 10 to 13. Show running time: 50 minutes.

Snacks and juices will be on sale at Tina’s.
