The Playhouse Company invites interested
groups and individuals from KwaZulu-Natal who are staging productions on the Fringe
at the 2017 National Arts Festival in Grahamstown.
The application process is open to groups
and individuals who have already registered and have been approved to perform
at the Festival. There is no criteria restricting the genre of productions to
be supported. These can range from dance, musical theatre, drama, comedy or
physical theatre.
To be considered, interested candidates
need to submit a comprehensive motivation – including:
Letter of acceptance/confirmation from NAF
Detailed synopsis of the production
Cast breakdown
Information about the production company,
including details of history and experience;
A letter of reference;
*The
inclusion of supporting material about the production company’s previous work
would be an advantage.
All selected applicants will be included in
an audition showcase at The Playhouse Loft Theatre on June 2, 2017, to the
selecting committee. The deadline for the submission of applications is May 5 2017.
