The Winston Churchill
Theatre claims its status as a music hub, by collaborating in bringing music to
the people. A performance on April 21 will see a true son of the
Pietermaritzburg soil, Themba Mokoena, on stage.
Affectionately known as “Bra
T”, Themba is originally from Sobantu Township. South Africa’s legendary lead
guitarist was recently honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the
inaugural Backing Vocal and Session Music Awards. The opening act for Bra T’s
show will be Pietermaritzburg-born Lindo Hadebe.
The performance
will take place on April 21 at 19h30 at the Winston Churchill Theatre at 2 Leinster Road, in
Pietermaritzburg. Tickets R50 at the door
