The EThekwini Municipality’s Durban Film
Office have for over the past three years launched a Micro-budget Film and
Development Fund Programme aiming to support local emerging and intermediate
filmmakers and encourage the production of local content in order to stimulate
the local film industry.
These programmes also focus on filmmakers
who need to develop projects for local and international investors, markets and
audiences.
The Durban Film Office is kick-starting its
2017/2018 next round of submissions for Micro Budget Film that offers up to
R150,000.00 p/a to five Feature Film Projects as well as the Development Fund
that offers R250,000,00 p/a to two Projects on development.
All emerging and intermediate EThekwini
filmmakers are urged to attend the briefing workshop for the next call out of
submissions for 2017/18 grant funds.
The briefing workshop will take place on
May 24 at 09h00 at the Botanical Gardens Visitors Complex.
