(Barry

Andrew)
Rock ‘n roll music appealed to the
rebellious teenagers who listened to music which their parents did not approve
of. But how artistes like Chuck Berry and Elvis Presley proved them wrong!
Rhumbelow Theatre, Umbilo presents The Long Road to Rock with The Reals featuring
Barry Thomson on lead guitar and vocals, Dawn Selby as Musical Director on
keyboards and vocals, Mali Sewell on drums and vocals and Jason Andrew on bass
guitar and vocals. They are joined by guest lead guitarist Shaun Dragt.
The show features iconic bands/artistes who
started as garage bands and ended up in stadiums, selling millions of albums.
Their passion and rebellion fuelled them to defy social conformities of their
era. Included in the repertoire are songs from Guns n’ Roses, Green Day, Pearl
Jam, Metallica, Blink 182, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Bon Jovi, ZZ
Top, Lenny Kravitz, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest and Pink Floyd.
The
Long Road to Rock runs this weekend from May 19 to
