Rhumbelow
Theatre in Umbilo, Durban, presents California
Sunshine, a tribute to the birth of the LA music scene.
A Black
Lapels Production it will feature Rob Warren on guitar and vocals; Garth Warren
on bass and backing vocal; Gareth Gale on drums and percussion, and Luke
Wynguard on guitar and vocals and special guests.
Following
on from their runaway success tribute shows, Johnny Cash; Bruce Springsteen and
most recently their Paul Simon Road To
Graceland production, The Black Lapels, one of Durban’s iconic staples in
the world of live entertainment, are excited to add to their stable of shows
their latest offering.
The
Band, The Eagles, Neil Young, Crosby Stills and Nash, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell,
The Byrds, Creedence, Jackson Browne, Van Morrison. The list goes on … and the
songs. These artists and their music defined an era. Set the tone, so to speak
for a generation of hippies, beatniks, bohemians, artists, poets, protesters,
lovers of excess and freedom to live and love by. Ultimately the mainstream
found them, too.
