Well-known performer Cat Simoni drinks a
champagne toast to the fabulous Elton John piano songbook in Just Me & Elton!, a production
presented by Rhumbelow Theatre.
Featuring numbers such as Rocket Man, Yellow Brick Road, Daniel,
Pinball Wizard and Candle in the Wind
to Sacrifice, Nikita and Circle of Life, the audience is warmly
invited to come and Feel the Love Tonight!
As a singer/songwriting team, Elton John
& Bernie Taupin, his life-partner and master-lyricist, share the Top of the
Pops league with Lennon & McCartney and Simon & Garfunkel. With hit
after No.1 hit they mined the golden seam of Pop music from the 60's through to
the Millennium. Every song is a shining example of the craft of
pop-songwriting; every song gets the pulses racing.

Festival, Just Me & Elton! is
pure Elton & Bernie from first note to last lyric and a sumptuous treat for
everyone who's ever fallen for the pop sounds of the simply divine Mr Elton
John.
Just
Me & Elton! is devised and directed by Paul
Spence. It will have performances in Pietermaritzburg at the Allan Wilson
Shellhole on June 18 at 14h00 and 18h30. This will be followed by a weekend run
at the Rhumbelow Theatre in Umbilo with shows on June 23 and 24 at 20h00 and on
June 25 at 14h00 and 18h30.
Venues open 90 minutes before show for
picnic. Tickets R150 (R130 pensioners).
(Braais will be available at the Umbilo
venue for those who wish to cook some meat). There is limited secure parking
available and a cash bar (no alcohol may be brought on to the premises)
