The KZN
Midlands Youth Ballet Company in partnership with Cape Town City Ballet under
the Artistic Directorship of Robin van Wyk will present a new children's
production - The Ugly Duckling from
July 13 to 15 at the Hilton College Theatre.
This
ballet production will tell the much-loved Hans Christian Anderson story of the
hardship an ugly duckling experiences and his transformation into a beautiful
swan.
The
leading roles will be danced by members of the Cape Town City Ballet Company,
while dancers from across the KZN Midlands will perform the roles of ducklings,
hounds, swans, swallow, skaters and soldiers to name but a few of the many
characters.
A
wonderful treat for the KwaZulu-Natal public that is not to be missed!
The Ugly Duckling has performances on July 13 at
19h00, July 14 at 15h00 and 19h00 and July 15 at 15h00 and 18h30 at the Hilton
College Theatre. Tickets R100 (R80 pensioners and children under 12).
