British Council Connect ZA, in partnership
with Fak’ugesi
African Digital Innovation Festival, has launched ColabNowNow, an
exciting collaboration project opportunity for young artists, coders,
architects and storytellers.
ColabNowNow is calling out for five digital
storytellers, and 10 artists working in digital in Southern Africa, East
Africa, West Africa and the UK to take part in the collaboration project in
Johannesburg during the Fak’ugesi Festival, taking place from September 6 to 16,
2017.
Selected applicants for ColabNowNow will be
working through a 10-day programme curated by Jepchumba, the founder and
creative director of African Digital Art, to create innovative digital work
that will be shown at the Fak’ugesi Block Party, as well as take part in the
larger Fak’ugesi Festival programme. They will be provided with work space, a
production budget and production support, as well as have their visa
application, flights, accommodation and per diem costs covered.
