Celebrating their 125th birthday, the Point
Yacht Club will present a one of a kind evening, an evening entitled Band on the Bay. On August 9, sit on the
banks of the club, gazing out over the Durban Marina as the sunsets, while the
fabulous, quirky South Jersey Pom Poms perform.
Continuing with the bay series theme, the
Anchorage Restaurant, headed up by the super-culinary wizard Chef Markus Banziger,
will be offering flavourful Burgers and Bunnies, and to compliment this The
Standeaven Craft brewery will be offering their liquid pride and joy. And if
none of this is tickles your palate, the Anchorage Restaurant is open and the
yacht club has a fully stocked bar offering a variety of alcoholic and
non-alcoholic options.
The festivities get underway at 15h00 on August
9. The entrance fee is R60 pp which also includes a free beer or cider. Parking
is R20 for the afternoon, situated in the clubs safe parking area.
