(Leon Scharnick)

The performance by the Leon Scharnick Quartet at The Jazzy Rainbow on August 26 is part of the Concerts SA Venue Circuit. This aims to foster a love and support for live music in communities, as well as anchor small and medium-sized venues in urban and rural Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Western Cape.

In addition to his work as a sideman, he teaches music and also runs his own quartet which is committed to playing original compositions as well as a host of standard tunes from the jazz tradition. Dalisu Dlazi (upright bass), Sanele Phakathi (piano) and Bucco Xaba (drums).
