(The
Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters)
Coming up at the Maritzburg Musicians Club
on October 3 are some big local favourites.
In a mash-up of the Choir! Choir! Choir!
phenomenon, and an old-style pub sing-along, the Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters
presents a live crowd singing opportunity at the next MMC evening.
Among some old sing-along favourites, the
programme will also include some oddities, all guaranteed to make you feel good
about exercising your vocal chords.
“Bring your voices, bring your gusto, bring
your harmony – but most of all, come prepared to have the most fun you have had
in a long time. Also, don’t be shy – all voices are welcome, and song lyrics
will be provided. Let’s see if we can lift the roof off the place!”, say the
MMC organisers.
Before the mass singing commences, the
evening will start off with a not-to-be-missed performance by MMC stalwart,
Ilan Lax. He will present a selection of his favourite songs, which he has
finally started recording. Joining him on stage will be the core of the team who
are helping him with the recording project – Barry Meintjes and Brian
Bedingfield.
Get along to La Casa on October 3. Doors
open at 19h00. Entrance fee R50.
