Showman supreme and piano virtuoso, Ian von
Memerty, presents his charming one-man show Keyboard
Killers at the Hilton Arts Festival this weekend (September 15 to 17).
Ian von Memerty - South Africa’s Prince of
the Piano stars in a musical extravaganza. After its hugely successful national
tour in 2016, Ian brings you Eight of the
Great: Freddy Mercury, Fats Waller, Billy Joel, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter,
Stevie Wonder, John Legend and Noel Coward.
With the dynamic Devon van Rooyen on
percussion and cool cat Andrew Warneke on bass you will feast your ears on some
of the world’s best music: from the swinging sass of Anything Goes to the showbiz sizzle of Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better; from a show-stopping Bohemian Rhapsody to a soul-searing Glory, you are in for a treat of complete
entertainment by a complete entertainer. Mrs
Worthington will never be the same again.
Tears of laughter, tears of love, and of
joy will flow as you revel in the pianistic pyrotechnics and vocal power of a
uniquely versatile artist paying tribute to some of the greatest musical
creators ever.
Rave reviews and nightly standing ovations
mean that you do not want to miss this magical musical event. Performances take
place on Saturday at 15h45 and Sunday at 15h30.
This production has been specifically
scheduled so that people who hate driving at night can still see it.
