Strauss & Co, the international art
evaluators and auctioneers, will be holding an on-line auction as well as
presenting a JH Pierneef talk at the Hilton Arts Festival which takes place
this weekend (September 16 to 17).
For the first time in the festival's
25-year history, patrons and art lovers will be able to take part in an online
auction of fine SA art as well as listening to an expert talking about the SA
master, JH Pierneef. Come and find the Strauss exhibition and talk in the
Centenary Centre at the festival.
Strauss & Co will promote their
September online auction at the Festival. The September online-only auction went
live on September 8 and closes at 20h00 on Monday September 18.
Strauss & Co will showcase a number of
lots including, paintings, drawings, sculpture, beautiful decorative arts,
jewellery, silver and porcelain. There will be something to tempt both young
and old, new buyers and established collectors, from an extensive range of
contemporary and historic artworks.

experts will be on hand to give information about the online buying platform,
how to register to bid, historical information on the artists and different art
techniques.
The Strauss & Co team would also be
delighted to offer free valuations at their stand for works of art, be they
paintings, works on paper or sculpture.
