ROAD TO GRACELAND

Rhumbelow Theatre in Umbilo, Durban, will present A Black Lapels production. After sell-out performances of their Johnny Cash and Creedence Clear Water Revival Tribute, The Lapels are back with Road to Graceland.

The Black Lapels (Rob Warren, Garth Warren, Gareth Gale and Rusty Red) are set to perform at The Rhumbelow Theatre from September 22 to 24, 2017, with their most dynamic production to date. After sell-out performances of their Johnny Cash and Creedence Clear Water Revival Tribute, The Lapels are stretching their musical legs in Road to Graceland – A Tribute to Paul Simon.

With over 16 million records sold world-wide, Graceland was and still is culturally and historically significant. Understanding the magnitude of what was achieved through the Graceland album, The Black Lapels have worked tirelessly to bring their own unique spontaneity to this amazing set of songs, all the while staying true to the heart beat and sentiment of Simon’s music.

This fusion combines in a spectacular not to be missed show with a set list that includes: Graceland, Diamonds on the soles of her shoes, You can call me Al, Late in the evening, Homeless, The Boxer, Sounds of Silence, Slip Sliding Away, Bridge over Troubled Water and many more.

Road to Graceland runs from September 22 to 24 with shows on September 22 and 23 at 20h00 and on September 24 at 14h00 and 18h30.  The venue opens 90 minutes before show for picnic dinner. Tickets R150 (R130 pensioners and tables of eight or more).
