Join Barry Thomson, Jason Andrew and Marion Loudon as they get back to the root of what makes a great song and give the melody and lyrics space to shine. Behind The Noise, which runs at the Rhumbelow Theatre at Tina’s Hotel in Kloof from October 13 to 15, offers a fresh takes on great songs

Ever noticed how often a great song gets drowned out by the noise that comes from over production in a studio?

Performing some classic tunes, this team have enjoyed finding the essence of some truly classic songs with vocals and just acoustic instruments, singing and playing songs you had forgotten you knew.

Get ready as this dynamic trio deliver superb renditions of some of your favourite tunes, including hits from George Ezra, Bonnie Raitt, Eurhythmics, Alison Moyet as well as latest hits from Mumford and Sons, Avicii, Pharell Williams and Avril Lavigne.

This team was last seen together in the Woodstock Tribute show as well as the Christmas party show Christmas Rocks. The charismatic Thomson, guitar maestro, who is no stranger to KZN audiences will be showing just what he can do alongside seasoned bass man Jason Andrew and Durban singer Marion Loudon.

It’s a programme of well-known hits, so sit back and expect to hear refreshing takes from all your favourite bands from Swedish House Mafia, Maroon 5, John Mayer and Katy Perry, as Thomson, Loudon and Andrew have plenty of laughs and leg pulling, bouncing off each other’s talents and energies for a wonderful musical buffet. Join us at the Rhumbelow Theatre for a show packed full of heartfelt performances on guitars, with a few other musical surprises, soulful harmonies and stunning live musicianship.

Behind The Noise runs at Tina’s Hotel on October 13 and 14 at 20h00 and October 15 at 14h00. The venue opens 90 minutes before show for drinks and/or dining (see below).

Patrons wishing to dine at Tina’s Restaurant before the show need to be aware that booking is essential on 031 764 7843 as seating is limited. It is recommended that you arrive no later than 90 minutes before show time for the restaurant. An a-la-Carte menu available as well as a buffet at R135 per head.
