BLUE PERIOD OF MILTON VAN DER SPUY FOR MICHAELHOUSE

The Blue Period of Milton van der Spuy, playwright Greig Coetzee’s most simple, and yet most complex character is brought to life by award-winning actor, Francis Mennigke (Michaelhouse Old Boy), in this new production directed by Peter Mitchell which has one performance at Michaelhouse on November 3.

It is, at once, a whimsical celebration and a playful mockery of Art in all its forms. Coetzee’s extraordinary talent for comedy and pathos brings us a character who is at once appealing and laughable, but draws us closer and closer.

The Blue Period of Milton van der Spuy has one performance on November 3 at 19h00 in the Schlesinger Theatre at Michaelhouse. The production is one hour and 15 minutes (no interval) and wine and beer will be on sale.
