South Africa's premier comedy and jazz
series Jokes & Jazz IV is back
for its 2017 finale at UKZN Centre for Jazz and Popular Music on October 3 at
18h00.
Hosted by renowned MC & comedian Troy
Tesla, the 90-minute outtake exploded this year to become one of the best rated
and best attended entertainment experiences in Durban.
Fresh from his Johannesburg & Cape Town
tours with acts like John Vlismas & Rob Van Vuuren, Tesla will anchor a
fresh line-up loaded with the best of the city's new comedians & musicians.
Comedians include Leah Jasmine - queen of
woke comedy and recent finalist at the
Kill or Die Comedy Competition as well as Daryl Williams - one of the most
sought after of Durban's rising stars. This family friendly act has toured
Swaziland, Mozambique and notable for side-splitting solo performances on the
Sinfonia cruise ship! The line-up also features Shannon Rice, Maxamilion and
newcomer Nabeer Peel.
The music sector will be represented by UKZN
School of Arts (Music) students and guest artist will be Zah Nkwenkwezi - a
bilingual poet and pioneer of the Durban poetry industry. She recently made a
special appearance on UKhozi Fm.
Jokes
& Jazz IV goes LIVE on October 3 at UKZN Centre
for Jazz and Popular Music, Howard College. The venue is also home to weekly
jazz concerts every Wednesday.
General tickets will be on sale at the door
at R70 (R45 pensioners and R20 students) for all shows. Doors open at 17h30 and
the show starts at 18h00.
