The Elizabeth Gordon Gallery is currently showing works by Renee Leslie.
Renee Leslie has become well known for her mixed media, collage and
black and white drawings which are intuitive, loose and immediate, focusing on
expressive mark making. Oil painting is a fairly recent exploration, and she
embraced this medium with enthusiasm, using her advanced drawing skills, to
hone her oil paintings.
Her love of flowers, plants and botanical studies led to her Bloom exhibition which the gallery
hosted in March this year. Here, her latest oil on canvas “In My Garden” continues with her enjoyment of depicting all things
natural.
