November 17 is set to seamlessly take
audiences on a walk down memory lane, as a new addition to the much loved
KwaZulu-Natal theatre scene hits the Durban’s North Coast.
With its roots firmly in Gauteng, the
second Rockwood Theatre finds its new home at the newly renovated 300-seater,
supper theatre venue at Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom.
Rockwood Theatre is credited for being a
major force in shaping the theatre scene in Pretoria. Armed with a wealth of
experience, the owners Tom and Ann Muller have created a relaxed and informal
setting, with highly anticipated shows with support of local talent and
directed by multifaceted Durbanite, Andrew Webster.
Doors open two hours before each show to
allow everyone to relax, unwind and enjoy the intimacy and warmth of the venue.
This theatre offers the perfect blend of atmospheric and musical delight.
The Rockwood Theatre launches with a bold
and hugely memorable show Knowing Me?
Knowing you!, a loving send up of Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Queen,
Chicago, Abba, Roxette and South Africa’s own home grown heroes, Mango Groove’s
Greatest hits and many more, a phenomenal tribute to the power partnerships of
rock, pop and folk.
The venue is perfect for year-end
functions, group bookings and fundraising initiatives. The venue has a
delicious menu available; additionally patrons may bring in a meal bought from
within the Casino Complex prior to the show.
