I Grandi Tenori in partnership with Friends of Music invites
music lovers to attend an extravagant Christmas Opera Evening concert on
December 14. This concert will see a South Africa’s pride trio- I Grandi Tenori
performing a two-hour repertoire that will include – opera arias, light
classical as well as popular Christmas Carols. It is surely an evening not to
miss out!
I Grandi Tenori’s mission is to create a total new opera
fraternity that will liberate itself from within, using its own resources to
fight unemployment, exploitation and non-recognition of opera graduates. It is
for this reason that all gate-takings that will be collected on this day will
go towards LET ME SING schools project- an initiative by I Grandi Tenori that
seeks to support music syllabus in schools across the province of KwaZulu-Natal.
Christmas Opera Evening concert emanates from a partnership
between a 35 years old music organisation called Friends of Music and I Grandi
Tenori. To make this beautiful night even more appealing, exchange of Xmas gifts
will be permitted.
The programme will include Nessun Dorma; Core ngrato; The Lord’s Prayer; Ave Maria; E Luce van
lestelle; Una furtiva lagrima; Ch'ella mi creda; My way; Masibuyelane and La Donna e Mobile.
