On Fire Comedy proudly presents the 3rd annual Durban Comedy Festival 2017 in partnership with East Coast Radio as well as Gateway Shopping Centre, Comedy Central, AHA Hotel Group and Mozambik Restaurant.

This December, the funniest comedians from all over the country will once again descend upon the coast for Durban’s biggest annual Comedy Festival … and everyone’s invited!

Now in its 3rd year, Durban Comedy Festival has a brand new home - the classy Gateway Hotel, uMhlanga! And with four unique, world-class comedy shows featuring no less than 17 hilarious comedians, it’s set to be the hottest thing to do in Durban this festive season!

Catch SA comedy legends like Nik Rabinowitz, John Vlismas and Joey Rasdien, along with award-winning “Trending Comic”- Loyiso Madinga! They share the stage with Durban’s hottest acts - Annalakshmi, Neil Green, Robby Collins, Neville Pillay, Richelieu Beaunoir, Kelvin Stoffels, Jem Atkins, Masood Boomgaard and more!

Each show is completely different! It’s four days of comedy mayhem to celebrate all things funny … …and in true festival style, there’s a show to suit everyone:

What's hot in Durban? Well, our delicious bunny-chows. Our beautiful summer weather. Oh, and our insanely talented comedians of course! It’s no secret that Durban is home to some of the best comics in the country! So we open this year’s festival with a BANG - several of the FUNNIEST, most-loved Durban comedians will be bringing the heat on stage…for one night only! This is a 2-hour Durban comedy feast guaranteed to have you rolling in your seat!

#2: XMAS CRACKERS – December 21 at 20h30. Butlers Restaurant, Hillcrest
Durban’s Biggest Annual Comedy Festival comes to Butler’s Restaurant (Hillcrest) for one night only! Brace yourself for a night of hilariously festive entertainment featuring some of the funniest comedians we know! The show is hosted by the irrepressible John Vlismas, and features top SA comedian - Nik Rabinowitz! Also on the line-up is Durban’s very own funnyman – Jem Atkins, as well as Andrew Hughes and Mfundo Ndovela!
Xmas Crackers is 90 minutes of guaranteed mirth and comedy mayhem…with some fine restaurant dining to boot!

Join us at the classy Gateway Hotel for the annual Durban Comedy Festival Main Event - a two-hour Stand-Up Comedy feast featuring some of the funniest and most-loved Comedians in the country! Catch internationally acclaimed, top SA comedian, Nik Rabinowitz (from Cape Town). And of course no line-up is complete without comedy legend - Joey Rasdien! Catch the ridiculously funny, award-winning comic – Loyiso Madinga – who is fresh off of the Trending Comics country-wide tour (JHB International Comedy Festival). They're joined by 1 of the funniest guys to ever come out of Durban – Neil Green! Also on the line-up is hilarious ex-Durbanite, Richelieu Beaunoir, whose hosting and crowd interaction skills leave audiences in stitches! This show is NOT to be missed!

Get ready for a side-splitting comedy feast just like the popular US TV show – Whose Line is it Anyway?! SA comedy legend, John Vlismas, hosts this HILARIOUS Improv Comedy show where four top comedians make everything up on stage based on audience interaction and suggestions! Also featured are Jem Atkins, Glen Biderman-Pam and Masood Boomgaard. If you enjoyed Whose Line is it Anyway?, you’ll LOVE this one! It’s 80-minutes of completely made-up, off-the-cuff hilarity!
