LINDELANI MKHIZE BRINGS IGNITE BACK

(Lindelani Mkhize)

Legendary multi-faceted music mogul and businessman Lindelani Mkhize will yet again present his Ignite music showcase to Durban audiences on December 22, 2017. The lifestyle, music and development event takes place at the Presidential Atrium of the Moses Mabhida stadium-which will be transformed into an arena - a first for the venue.

Guests will literally ‘walk the President’s walk’ and can look forward to VIP treatment fit for royalty. From chauffeur-driven -rides, to an extravagant red-carpet experience and a musical showcase by SADEC’s raw talent who have been mentored and trained by Mkhize himself-Ignite 2017 promises to wow!

“As a result of the pressures of daily life and responsibility, by the end of the year we are tired and all we want is to unwind. The Ignite lifestyle and music experience is the perfect outlet, designed to ease you into the festive mode through the merging of fashion, food, song and dance. Dress up, look good, feel good and indulge in some well-deserved VIP treatment. The first edition of Ignite was a great success and, it is with great excitement that I present this year’s edition of Ignite” said Lindelani Mkhize, the founder of Ignite and chairman of Contento Group.

Mkhize has described this year’s Ignite journey as fulfilling and worth the long days and sometimes sleepless nights. As part of a gruelling selection process, unknown young up-and-coming artists are invited to submit their music material via the Ignite social media platforms in a bid to make the final cast which will perform at the event on December 22.

The 60-member cast is predominantly made up of young people from different backgrounds who share a passion for the creative arts, and all they need is for someone to believe in them and give them an opportunity to showcase their talent. Ignite provides a platform for these artists to receive the training, mentoring and exposure they need to begin building their music careers.

“In the past we have marvelled at the development of our young cast from the exposure, from the likes of Nelisiwe who has since took on a spotlight through the famous soundtrack of TV series Lockdown ‘mama kaBafana’; Zinhle Madela from Mandeni who has since released a single with DJ Nastor; and is now getting bookings from event managers; as well as the Vosloorus duo Siyakha Khitha & Khaya who have since been invited to join the Joyous Celebration cast as a result. We are confident that Ignite is really igniting the careers of young creatives, and this is our way of giving back to an industry that has given and continues to afford us with so much.” Mkhize continued.

Tickets R290 for silver, R470 for gold and R1500 for VIP Platinum available at Computicket.
