M-Net Channel 101 will host the Royal Variety Performance
2017 on December 31 at 22h00.
The 2017 Royal Variety Performance was held at the London
Palladium on November 24 in the presence of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge,
and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. This is the theatre industry’s annual fundraising
event featuring legendary performers from around the globe and 2017 marks the
40th anniversary of its presentation at the London Palladium.
Miranda Hart, star of the TV series Call the Midwife and Miranda was
the host for the performance.
The production features top international names appearing in
a programme that includes musical numbers and comedy skits. Performers included
the casts of 42nd Street and Annie as
well as Amber Riley, Beverley Knight, Cassidy Janson and Kelsey Grammer with
the cast of Big Fish. There will also
be a tribute to Bruce Forsyth who passed away in August.
